Citymesh provides the Dutch wind farm Borssele with connectivity

In the Borssele wind farm, Citymesh provides connectivity from six locations. This is done with a combination of 5G and mesh.

Borssele wind farm

Borssele wind farm is a collection of wind farms under construction off the coast of Zeeland. Since April 2020, the parks have been supplying electricity to the Dutch energy grid via a connection at Borssele. Citymesh provides this wind farm with connectivity from six permanent installations. This is done by means of a combination of 5G and mesh. The network has a coverage area around all Borssele wind turbines.

Connectivity for nearby vessels

The network is not only available for the wind farm itself, but other ships can also use this network. For example, several vessels of MHI Vestas used the network for service and maintenance operations on existing wind farms and installations of new wind farms. Van Oord also used this network for Cable lay operations, Inter Array and Export Cabling.
