Overview of technical solutions
The installation is connected to the internet via an existing LAN connection (provided by a telecom provider or through the Contracting Party’s network) or via a 3G/4G connection. This connection allows the Contracting Party to log into the server using a mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and view the live footage remotely. Every CMF installation is equipped with a standard 3G/4G M2M card. The speed and quality of the footage depend on the available bandwidth, the recorded quality, and the devices used by the Contracting Party. CMF is not responsible for the quality of the connection and will, as much as possible, select and configure the best network.
Data limit
For live “viewing” services, each installation has a standard data subscription of 4 GB. Once 80% of the agreed data usage is reached, CMF will be notified. If the data limit (100%) is reached, the connection will be terminated, after which CMF must reactivate the service. This falls under cost control. The costs for additional data traffic will be charged to the Contracting Party at the applicable rates.
If a constant connection (Live viewing) is required, we recommend connecting the camera surveillance to a fixed internet line. If necessary, we can provide an appropriate quote for this.
Control Room
For handling alarms, the conditions of the designated control room apply.
The Contracting Party is responsible for minimizing unnecessary alarms.
Special Conditions
In addition to CMF’s general terms and conditions, these special terms and conditions also apply in full to the present agreement. Upon signing the agreement, the Customer declares to have received and taken cognisance of the general and special terms and conditions. The present special terms and conditions may expressly derogate from certain provisions of the general terms and conditions with the agreement of all parties. In case of conflict between the special and general terms and conditions, the special terms and conditions shall prevail.
Prohibited Actions by the Contracting Party or Its Appointees
The Contracting Party or its appointees are strictly prohibited from making any alterations to the supplied and rented (or purchased) hardware and software, particularly the delivered and rented (or purchased) network, without authorization. Any damage, both direct and indirect, caused to CMF as a result will be recovered from the Contracting Party.
Insurance and Liability Limitation for CMF
CMF can only be held liable for direct damage suffered by the Contracting Party up to the insured amounts provided for in the public liability insurance and post-delivery liability insurance policies as taken out by CMF.
