Oostkamp, 18 December 2025 – Citymesh, a specialist in wireless connectivity and set to celebrate twenty years in the market next year, has once again secured the ‘Wireless Infrastructure’ lot within the City of Bruges’ framework agreement. This marks the third consecutive award, with a notable turning point: for the first time, Citymesh will act as lead contractor. The agreement has a maximum term of six years and a potential value of 50 million euros.
Within this lot, Citymesh is responsible for supplying and installing wireless network infrastructure, including professional access points, controllers and the necessary accessories. The assignment also includes the preparatory study work preceding design and implementation. In addition, Citymesh provides Wi-Fi solutions on private premises, including internet access, as well as temporary wireless connectivity in the public domain, for example during large-scale events. To a limited extent, the lot also covers the provision of point-to-point wireless connections between different locations.
With this broad scope, Citymesh continues to play a key role in the further development and professionalization of wireless networks for public organizations in Flanders. Thanks to its expertise and proven track record, Citymesh offers a future-oriented approach that responds to the growing need for flexible, reliable and high-quality connectivity.

New standards such as WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 significantly narrow the performance gap with wired networks. The latter, however, remains the standard for critical applications and maximum performance. This new assignment underlines the trust that public organizations place in us, and reflects the evolution Citymesh has undergone in recent years.”
With this new award, Citymesh once again confirms its leading role in wireless connectivity and remains on track to support public institutions in their digital transformation. Together with the already awarded Lot 1 network infrastructure, Lot 2 wireless network infrastructure forms an ideal combination.
