With the new system in place, DIMETRA Express system supports thousands of calls daily across 65 talk groups. Departments like transport, crisis management, and production rely on seamless communication. Features include full-duplex mode, allowing hands-free communication for teams operating heavy machinery. Safety is prioritized with man-down licenses and emergency all-call functionality. Moreover, Motorola’s RF Power Toggle license improves signal strength, enhancing reception and audio clarity.

Scalable and Secure Communication

Not only is the system robust, but it also supports up to 1,000 users, providing flexibility for future expansion. Redundancy features include backup controllers and secure LAN-based authentication to prevent unauthorized access. To simplify management, Citymesh provided web-based tools for on-site monitoring and oversight. These tools enable real-time oversight of radios, talk groups, and system performance. Looking ahead, Over-The-Air-Programming (OTAP) will soon simplify updates and parameter adjustments.

Future Plans

As the next step, INEOS Aromatics plans to integrate the system with LTE to connect with existing telephone systems. WAVE PTX broadband push-to-talk technology will enhance remote communication. GPS functionality will improve emergency response, enabling precise user location and system alerts. To expand capabilities, Additional features like dispatch software can be added through cost-effective licensing.
